Brett is a specialist counsellor in relationships and human sexuality with more than 20 years experience. Brett is CEO of Impotence Australia and a senior lecturer and unit of study coordinator in the Post Graduate Sexual Health Program at
The University of Sydney.

Brett first started as a therapist with the Hunter Needle & Syringe Program. His training in palliative care nursing assisted with his move into counselling. He later went onto the position of counselling unit manager at Sydney Sexual Health Centre. In these positions he specialised in health promotion and provision of high quality clinical counselling services.

In 1999 his work was recoginised by NSW Health with the achievement of
“Outstanding contribution to the community in HIV/AIDS Work Award”.
